Here in Daves’ Bakery we believe in supporting other local Campbell River businesses. We work in conjunction with some local coffee shops and the brewery and supporting one another! We do our best in supporting local non-profits and local charities; providing our regular customers and guests with great quality baked goods, treats and of course with support information of local places they can go to meet their needs while they enjoy their stay.
Bread, Treats and Sweets are made with wholesome ingredients with no preservatives and additives. In our products, we are utilizing as much as possible local ingredients (from Vancouver Island and BC) and the products are man-made freshly and with minimum of environmental impact.
We re-worked the marketing strategy to be more retail/customers oriented (instead of major wholesale/minimum retail focus). The smaller percentage of wholesale we kept are those who appreciate and accept our business model and philosophy (man-made products, local sourcing, personal touch) and value the quality before quantity in correlation to higher price to be paid. We are constantly focused to implementing contemporary and innovated products and/or product lines.
Sourcing of ingredients and supplies from local supplier (Willows Market, Farmer Ben’s Eggs, Island Grind, Beach Fire Brewing and Nosh House, Save-On-Foods, Lekker Foods, Snow Cap Enterprises, Costco Courtenay). We employ 9 local residents (+ 2 of us are the owners).
