About the Campbell River Visitor Centre:
Destination Campbell River operates the official Campbell River Visitor Centre located in downtown Campbell River, in the heart of the Cultural District, on Shoppers’ Row. Our top priority is connecting with visitors in a meaningful and efficient way, sharing Campbell River’s story and the unique possibilities that can be discovered within and around our community and region.
Our Visitor Centre staff strive to provide visitors with friendly, accurate information about upcoming events, accommodations, adventure tours, attractions, activities, and restaurants in the region. Our goal is to enhance visitor experiences by connecting guests with the right information and local partners who offer the experience or products they are looking for. Staff and business operators work closely together to ensure that visitor experiences within the community are exceptional.
The Visitor Centre is Campbell River’s official resource centre for unique activities, adventure tourism, accommodation, transit information, park locations, retail experiences, maps and much more.

about Destination Campbell River
Destination Campbell River is the official destination marketing organization (DMO) that exists to promote Campbell River & Region on behalf of the City of Campbell River and local tourism stakeholders. Supported by Destination Think!, the global experts in modern destination marketing, committed staff works locally in Campbell River to promote the development and marketing of our community, focusing on tourism marketing and services, and work with the Regional DMO (Tourism Vancouver Island) and Provincial DMO (Destination BC) to leverage programs and partnerships that grow visitation to the region.
Destination Campbell River is implementing the 5 Year Strategic Tourism Plan as per the strategy that was written in 2016. Working with the City of Campbell River’s Tourism Advisory Committee and the Citys’ Economic Development division, we execute and deliver on the initiatives outlined in the 5 Year Plan to support tourism and growth within the City of Campbell River & Region.
Destination Campbell River promotes the North Central Vancouver Island region to external tourism markets; using innovative destination marketing techniques, across multi-media platforms to promote the vibrant coastal community of Campbell River and Region, including Gold River, Sayward, Tahsis, Zeballos, Quadra Island, Cortes Island, as well as the Discovery Islands archipelago.
