There are few better things in this world than kicking back and relaxing with a cold beverage… make that beverage a cold beer, now you have our attention! In recent years the craft beer scene on Vancouver Island has been exploding with new breweries popping up all over the Island, Campbell River is no exception.  Admittedly, while we can’t be entirely persuaded to give up our Lucky Lager, (some call it Island Champagne) we have certainly taken a shine to craft beer! Beach Fire Brewing and Nosh House

A local favourite known for their creative brews and communal atmosphere. The heart of it all, Beach Fire Brewing and Nosh House is the only craft brewery in CR.

Local Tip: Go on Tuesdays when they serve up their small specialty batches. These delicious concoctions are always a hit and sell out fast, so be sure to arrive early if you want a taste!

Sessions Bistro and Spin Room

The newest spot in town Sessions Bistro and Spin Room offers rotating taps of beer (and cider)  from all over British Columbia. We recommend pairing your brew of choice with one of their signature hand-stretched pizzas.

Local Tip: If you’re up for it, work up a thirst with one of their spin classes before indulging in your choice of local beer.

Dockside Fish and Chips

Located as close to the water as you can get without being in it. Dockside Fish and Chips offers beer from Beach Fire Brewing, paired with fresh local fish and fresh-cut chips.

Local Tip: Their batter is light and crisp, making this easy fair; gluten-free batter is also available for those of us who have to refrain. While at Dockside, keep an eye out for their adopted Mascot, Richard the Seal!
