Everyone is invited on December 1st to experience Christmases of the past in the permanent exhibits at the Museum at Campbell River from 1 to 4 pm.  Tour through the festively decorated galleries while listening to Christmas carols being sung by the Campbell River Singers. There will be Christmas stories and crafts, a station for writing letters to Santa, and a holiday scavenger hunt you can do while exploring the galleries. Once again, RainCoast school of Musical Theatre will be participating in Chestnuts and Carols at the Museum at Campbell River, Saturday, December 8th at 1 pm.  RainCoast students ages 5-18 will be performing pieces from their current repertoire.  RainCoast students learn singing, acting, speech arts and choreography as they study the discipline of Musical Theatre.  The audience can join the kids in a short Christmas sing along while we wait for Santa to arrive to greet all the children.  The…

The Museum will be celebrating Ann Elmore Haig-Brown day on Friday, May 3. From 10-12 there will be tours of the Haig-Brown House running every 15 minutes.  Suggested donation is $5 per person. From 2-4 there will be a tea at the Museum with the opportunity to view the new exhibit, and view the film Remembering Ann Elmore Haig-Brown.

Cedar bark harvesting is an ancient and respected tradition amongst the peoples of this area.
