Interpretive Walk | Winter Waterfowl & Shorebirds
January 26 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm$10
Grab your binoculars, come out for the first interpretive walk of our 2020 series & help us support wildlife rescue efforts in Australia! Did you know that over 20 bird species are living just beyond the shoreline? Join Greenways’ President, Sandra Milligan, and bird expert, Ray Allan, for a shoreline stroll and revel in the beauty of Oystercatchers, Harlequins, Horned Grebes, and our special gull species. Please dress for the weather and bring binoculars if you have them!
Sunday, January 26 [Australia Day]
1.00 – 2.30 PM [ideal tide]
Meet at the end of Adams Road (by Willow Point Discovery Foods). The Discovery Foods plaza is your best and closest parking choice. From there it’s only a 1-minute walk to the end of Adams Road.
While it is cold and rainy here, it is blazing in Australia. Greenways will be donating all proceeds from the walk to support wildlife rescue operations in Down Under. The walk is free for Greenways members, $10 for non-members. If you wish to make a cash or cheque donation on site, you can & we will add it to our wildlife rescue donation.
