We welcome you all here

We’re proud to welcome all travellers to our beautiful destination of Campbell River. Our region offers an endless selection of getaways and adventures for visitors of all ages and abilities. You’ll find a warm welcome as you explore the oceanside communities of Campbell River and the Discovery Islands, and our nearby neighbours around the north-central Vancouver Island region.

Campbell River, or Wiweka̓ ̱m, is located on the east coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, within the ancestral territory of the We Wai Kai and Wei Wai Kum First Nations, in the Northern Salish Sea. Sitting on the 50th parallel, it’s a city nestled in nature with five Provincial Parks (including BC’s first, Strathcona!) surrounding the region, and front-row access to the legendary Discovery Passage.

Whether you love outdoor recreation, local food experiences, wildlife viewing, or relaxation, Campbell River has something for you. One of the best ways to connect with our growing 2SLGBTQ+ community is to visit during the annual Campbell River Pride celebration! Happening each June, this colourful community event features a festival in Spirit Square, the always epic Pride at the Tide show, and other events!  The 2023 Campbell River Pride Guide is coming soon, so check back for more information about this year’s celebrations.
