Spring has sprung (ignore the recent sprinkle of snow) and we’re ready for patio season!
Our locals have their favourite spots to enjoy a cold local pint or a freshly shaken cocktail, but we want to keep our visitors in the loop. If patio season has you buzzing, check out these 5 patios during your next visit to Campbell River:
1. SOCAL Restaurant & Lounge
Known for their Mexi-Cali cuisine and dynamite margaritas, this lovely spot features a large sunken patio with umbrellas to help shade you from the sun and is a great place to unwind and catch up with friends. They offer fresh, handmade, delicious food, including burgers, salads, unique tapas, and excellent seafood options. Don’t forget to try their epic caesar drinks too!

2. Quay West Kitchen & Catering
From their oceanfront location to fresh local ingredients, Quay West offers a dining experience that showcases the best of Campbell River. Their patio on the water is a great place to be when the sun is shining, as you get the cool breeze off of the water, and a chance to see some local marine life as you indulge in their delicious west coast cuisine.

3. Session taproom + kitchen
Although this patio doesn’t get the sun for long, it’s a local favourite for its ocean views and people watching abilities. Session is known for their fun and lively atmosphere, as well as their locally focused menu items and tasty cocktails. Locals swear by their nachos, hand stretched pizzas, and impressive rotating craft beer list. This is not a spot you want to miss!

4. Beachfire Brewing
A local watering hole beloved by locals and visitors alike, Beach Fire Brewing offers two different styles of patios to fit your desired experience. They have a small patio out front, and a larger courtyard style patio in the back. All of their beers are made in house, as well as their delicious food. They try to incorporate local ingredients wherever they can, depending on the season.

5. Velocity lounge
This bright and sunny patio is a great spot to be for those keen on hitting the green or for those just looking for a cocktail and some great food while soaking in some sunshine. They also offer the opportunity to rent out one of their driving range bays, if you and your friends want to hit a few balls after enjoying your patio beverages (reservation for bays required).
